WinterSun® Christmas Rose – the classic winter bloomer
When most plants take a break for winter, WinterSun® Christmas Roses begin to bloom.
WinterSun® Christmas Roses display their bright white flowers from late fall onwards and are among the few plants that bring us joy throughout the winter. In mild weather, they are also an important source of food for wild bees. These robust plants are well adapted to cold weather and can easily survive frost and snow. They not only look good in flower beds, but also as potted plants on balconies and terraces. There they adorn prominent places that are reserved for colorful flowering plants in summer.
Christmas Roses have held a special fascination for centuries and are among the oldest known cultivated plants. They originate from the eastern Limestone Alps, for example Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. In Germany, they only occur naturally in the Berchtesgadener Land region, where the plant is strictly protected.
